How RaceOS Helps Participants Get Set Up for Chipless Timing

Overview:
RaceOS manages participant communication to ensure runners are prepared for chipless GPS-based timing.

What We Send:

RaceOS automatically sends a series of emails and text messages to participants who haven’t yet registered their device, starting when the race is first set up.

Message Schedule (if no device is connected):

  • Immediately after race setup

  • 24 hours later

  • 72 hours later

  • 2 weeks before race

  • 1 week before race

  • 48 hours before race

  • 24 hours before race

  • Morning of race

Message Content:

  • Encourages participants to register GPS watch

  • Links to device registration and help guide

  • Friendly tone, branded with your race name

  • Final reminders to start/stop/sync their device

  • Email & SMS open/click rates

  • Device registration rates

  • Timing activation rates

  • Unsubscribe rates (email only)
